Well folks, your Key West photographer has managed another week straight of taking a photo a day.  So far, so good.

Little Libby, love her!

Little hands, yummy kiwi. Each week we get a “food share” of mostly local fresh organic fruit. The kids love the fruit, it’s a favorite snack. And as you can see, they were eagerly digging into that bowl!

Sunday morning we dropped daddy off at the Key West airport. Since it was such a beautiful morning, and I already had the beach toys in the van, we stopped off at Smather’s beach for a couple hours. I really wanted a picture with all four of them in it, one that occurred naturally.

Riley and Ash both take Taekwondo lessons weekly. I love how it has gives them self confidence and awareness.  And how I know that my 12 year old can probably kick my butt.  Let’s not share that with her though icon wink Project 366 Week 2

This picture makes me smile each time I see it.  He is so funny!  Look at his crinkled nose.  I believe his words were “Pick ME up NOW” hehe!!

Kaitlyn hardly contained her excitement when she got home from school. “Mommy I drew a doggy today, and you can tell he is a dog!” She was so proud. How could I resist that as today’s photo? Plus, it is an awesome dog drawing!

jan 12 Project 366 Week 2

My sister came over to hang out with me.  We found some cool vintage stuff – the likes of which will probably show up on here in the near future.  She’s awesome, ‘nough said.  Love ya Jen!

It’s been such a fun project, taking a photo a day.  I feel so inspired now, on a regular basis.  I hope that you’re enjoying following along, as much as I enjoy sharing photos of my daily life in the Florida Keys!  And don’t forget to leave your favorite Key West photographer some comments!  Gotta love sweet feedback!!

Project 366 – Week 1

by Laura on January 6, 2012

I have watched people embark on this missions for ages.  Dedicating themselves to take a photo a day for an entire year.  Seems overwhelming.  Is my life really interesting enough for a photo every single day?  Will anyone actually want to look at these photos besides me?  Well there’s only one way to know.  I decided to save up the images and create just one blog post a week dedicated to this endeavor.

So, here goes nothing.  The first week of my project.

jan 1 Project 366 Week 1

Can I post pictures without talking about them? Not so much. Riley was playing Xbox with his dad (specifically Lego Harry Potter). I would have included Chris in the photo, but he was still in his boxers, and requested politely that I not photograph him. So I didn’t.

jan 2 Project 366 Week 1

Ashley was out of town visiting her dad, and just got back.  I decided I would capture her as she walked from the plane.  There were people everywhere.  I appreciate that she was not surprised to find me with the camera as she walked up.

jan 3 Project 366 Week 1So, if you didn’t already know, I live in the Florida Keys.  This is my new daily coffee mug.  I love it, and coffee.  I took it’s picture because I was drinking my coffee, getting ready to bake, and thought hmmm… that shows my daily life.

Jan 4 maybe Project 366 Week 1

Oh how I love him.  Is there any better description really?  I doubt it.

jan 5 Project 366 Week 1

We made our own finger paints.  They were a huge success.  All four of the kids painted for ages.  I saw a recipe for this on Pinterest and thought it would be fun since the kids are still on Holiday break.  It was shockingly easy to make.  You can find the recipe, and an array of other neat DIY projects at Tip Junkie.  In fact, I have the supplies to make the Kool-Aid playdoh too.  But Riley went on a sleepover, so we promised to wait until he gets back to make it.

So that’s it.  Week 1.

Breakfast Outside

December 19, 2011

One of my favorite treats is to eat breakfast outside.  We have a great little table and chairs set, and in December, the weather just begs for us to sit out there!

They humored me when I pulled out the camera too. There’s nothing as yummy as cinnamon toast in this [...]

If you are just curious about our family life in the Keys.  Or if you’re a part of our family, and want to check up on us…

Here’s one from today.  A conversation between Mommy and Kaitlyn.

K: Look I have a fish, named him Bloop Bloop.
